In collaboration with the Department of Industrial Works (DIW), a PRTR Workshop for staff of Industrial park/land/zone located in Rayong was organized on August 17th, 2012, at IRPC Community Learning Center, Rayong city. Expressing an interest in the JICA-PRTR Project, a number of environmental officers from industrial areas including IRPC industrial park, Hemaraj Rayong Industriral Land, Siam Eastern Industrial Park, and Rayong Industrial Park, actively participated in the workshop.

JICA Experts teamed up with two project counterparts -- Mr. Decha Pimpisut, Director of Air Pollution Division, DIW, and Mr. Aram Bhandhuwanna, Environmentalist from Pollution Control Department (PCD) – and delivered lectures on the JICA-PRTR Project. Presented topics included 1) Introduction to PRTR, 2) Point Source Definition, 3) Target Chemical Substances List, 4) Pilot Implementation Plan, and 5) Chemical Risk Communication. Mr. Decha, as chairperson, concluded each part of the workshop and specifically emphasized the pilot implementation in 2013, in which the industrial sector would be inevitably involved.

Getting ready for the pilot implementation in 2013, environmental officers from various industrial areas actively participated in the PRTR workshop.

Mr. Decha Pimpisut, the chairperson, delivered a presentation on the JICA-PRTR Project during the PRTR workshop held on July 17th, 2021, at IRPC Community Learning Center.
