Prepared by a JICA Expert Team, progress made during May – September 2012 is summarized in the Progress Report No.3. The new volume presents many updates of each output area. Some highlights are the launch of development of a release estimation manual for automotive and auto-parts industry, a successful study tour to Japan, more trainings and follow-up workshops for risk communication, and revisions of the Thai PRTR basic system design. Moreover, in the approach to the PRTR pilot implementation, the preparation for the pilot project started with various awareness raising activities organized for the local stakeholders in Rayong.

Besides, in order to publicize the activities and current status of the JICA-PRTR Project, many of the project documents and materials from various events, such as an introduction to PRTR, 107 target chemical substances list, and the 2nd JICA-PRTR Project annual seminar, are now available online in the website of the Pollution Control Department.
