Joint Coordination Committee meeting held on July 12th, 2013

A meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) was held at the Pollution Control Department (PCD) on July 12th, 2013. In addition to the counterpart organizations (PCD, DIW and IEAT), representatives from other concerned agencies such as the Office of Traffic & Transport Policy and Planning (OTP), the Department of Agriculture (DOA), Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA), and the Embassy of Japan participated in the meeting. Ms. Somchint Pilouk, Deputy Governor of IEAT chaired the meeting.

Various issues of the project were actively discussed after reporting of the progress and current situation of the project, especially the pilot implementation in Rayong.

One important agenda of the meeting was revision of the Project Design Matrix (PDM). The PDM is a logical framework summarizing objectives, outputs, activities and assumptions of the project, and is an essential tool in project management. The PDM was proposed to be revised in accordance with the findings of a mid-term review made last December. The meeting approved the revision as proposed after active discussion.

Another agenda the meeting agreed on was the assignment of IEAT Governor to co-project director and Deputy Governor to co-project manager, reflecting the increasing role of IEAT in the project.

Through the meeting, all stakeholders in the various agencies confirmed the progress of the project and shared common understanding of the direction for pilot implementation.
