The Department of Industrial Works (DIW) and SECOT Co., Ltd. organized a seminar on PRTR database development on September 12, 2013, at Golden City Hotel (Rayong). The seminar was led by Mr. Mongkol Pruekwatana, Director of Water Technology and Industrial Plant Environment Bureau, DIW, while an overview of PRTR progress was given to the participants by Dr. Sirakarn Leungsakul. The purpose of the seminar was to present the results of PRTR database development and explain how factories report PRTR data through the on-line system. The participants were asked to comment on the user friendliness of the system. This PRTR database system will be open for a trial session in October 2103 in order to obtain more feedback from users. Voluntary cooperation from participating factories is expected to result in the first PRTR report in March 2014.
