The 3rd task force meeting for risk communication promotion was held at IEAT Office in Map Tha Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong Province, on October 16, 2013, in order to develop a proper risk communication model under the PRTR project. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Arthit Laiaddee, Director of Rayong Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment, with 19 participants from the relevant governmental and academic sectors.

Dr. Chayawee Wangcharoenrung from PCD, acting as secretary of the task force, gave a presentation on the progress of risk communication activity outputs, including the curriculum for risk communication facilitator training, the draft implementation plan, and the draft risk communication handbook. The task force members actively gave constructive comments towards building an effective mechanism to conduct risk communication.

Gathering comments from the task force members, the working team will work on finalization of the handbook. The training for risk communication facilitator will be organized in late 2014, while another task force meeting will be held in early April to agree upon the model of the training.
