Emission estimation workshop for hospitals, academic institutes, fuel storage tanks, and waste management facilities in Rayong

On January 24, 2014, the Pollution Control Department (PCD) and the Department of Industrial Works (DIW) jointly organized a workshop on emission estimation for non-factory point sources in Rayong province at Rayong City Hotel. Mr. Suwan Nanthasarut, Director of the Regional Environmental Office 13 (Chonburi), presided over the opening of the workshop.

The workshop was a part of training activities under the PRTR pilot implementation plan, with the objective of providing knowledge on emission estimation methods for non-factory point sources, including hospitals, academic institutes, fuel storage tanks, and waste management facilities. A total of 54 participants from relevant establishments participated in the workshop.

The workshop was successful, with case study practices introduced to the participants to facilitate their better understanding on emission estimation methods.
