On January 28, 2014, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), and its sub-contractor, United Analyst and Engineers Co., Ltd. (UAE), organized a PRTR emission estimation seminar for 5 industrial categories; namely wood, electrical machine, plastic, rubber, and metal industries, at Rayong City Hotel. The seminar, chaired by Ms. Cattleya Silaratana, Director of Environment Department, IEAT, drew a total of 49 participants from the relevant industries.

In the seminar, UAE presented the result of its sub-contract work, the emission estimation manuals for 5 Industrial categories, and introduced a mass balance method for emission estimation as an example method. After the seminar, on-request technical support will be made available for interested factories by UAE, under an additional subcontract with the JICA PRTR project.
