On March 31, 2014, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) organized a meeting for factories located in Amata City, Eastern Seaboard and Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard industrial estates at Pattana Golf Club and Resort, Chonburi Province. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Asarin Laosirilurchakai, representing the Director of Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, and attended by around 150 participants.

The meeting was held to explain the method of reporting PRTR data via the Map Ta Put Environmental Monitoring and Control Center (EMCC) database system for all factories inside the industrial estates in the Eastern Seaboard and Amata city areas.

Dr. Jariya Sukhapan presented an overview and progress of the PRTR pilot project in Rayong, the next plan for gathering PRTR data from all sources, and the implementation plan of risk communication in Rayong province scheduled for the end of this year. Also, Mr. Apichart Sektheera, representative of Amata City Industrial Estate, requested the factories to submit their reports to the website by the end of May 2014.
