To promote public understanding of risk communication of PRTR data, the Risk Communication Team of the JICA PRTR Project, led by Dr. Chayawee Wangcharoenrung from PCD and Mr. Munehiro FUKUDA, JICA Expert, has visited several stakeholders to consult on appropriate methodologies to provide general knowledge of PRTR to the public before risk communication and data disclosure. The municipalities and community organizations consulted were as follows:

July 16, 2014: visit IRPC community center, Community Partnership Association (CPA), and Ms. Sutheera Pongsai (Member of Rayong Community Development Institute)

July 17, 2014: visit Map Ta Phut Municipality, Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, and Mr.Surasith Chailap (Pluakdang Community Leader)

July 21, 2014: visit Ta-sith Municipality, Nongrai Municipality, and Map Yang Pond Municipality

July 22, 2014: visit La Han Municipality, Nam Koo Municipality, and Pluakdang Municipality

The main purpose of consultation was to determine 3W (Who/What/Where) should be the target of such seminars. In these stakeholder consultations, the risk communication team received much useful information for designing proper awareness raising seminars for the public during late August to early September 2014 before PRTR data disclosure.
