The 17th OECD Task Force on PRTRs meeting was held at Danubio Room, Hotel Plaza San Francisco, Santiago de Chile, on October 6 and 7, 2014, with participation from OECD member countries (Chile, Czech, Finland, Japan, Spain, Sweden, U.S.), non-OECD member countries from Latin America (Brazil, Colombia, Peru) and relevant organizations.

Taking this opportunity, Mr. Motoo Kaneko from Ministry of the Environment of Japan made a presentation on the progress of the JICA PRTR pilot project in Rayong, such as status of reporting from point sources, estimating of release from non-point sources, organizing awareness raising campaign in communities, etc. The Ministry of Environment provides full technical support for the JICA PRTR project.
