Counterpart Training (Care Management) was Conducted

From 1st September till 21st September 2013, 15 Thai trainees who are nurse, occupational therapist, social worker, community leader and officers from MOPH have visited Japan to attend the LTOP Counterpart Training on Care Management. They are expected to be the 1st Care Managers ever in Thailand (in LTOP project, we call them Care Coordinators). Mr. Hasegawa, the Care Manager and the President of the Care Management Support Center in Japan was the main resource person for this training. Thai Trainees have learnt the concept of Care Management and skills to develop care plans for the elderly. After many trials to develop care plans using actual Thai elderly cases, trainees have gained great confidence. On the last day, one trainee said that "I would like to share what I have learnt after going back to Thailand as a resource person, at the care worker trainings planed in this month."
