On the 3rd June 2014, the kick-off meeting to officially initiate Model Services in Surat Thani site was held at Ban Na Doem hospital. At the venue, the director and the nurses of the hospital, Care managers, care workers, elderly volunteers and the persons in charge of Surat Thani site from the municipality and Ministry of Public Health have joined from Thai side and the Prof. Sutthichai has joined to conduct the lecture. From Japan side, the senior representative and the representative from JICA Thailand office and JICA experts have joined. During the meeting, the Project overview, contents of the Model Services, related stakeholders and the process of LTOP survey etc. were confirmed among participants and discussion was also made to start the services. In the afternoon, as well as on the following day, the base-line survey to care givers (family) of the elderly in Surat Thani site was conducted by LTOP survey team and the services have been officially started.
