The Model Services have started in Nonthaburi site.

On the 17th June 2014, the kick-off meeting to officially initiate Model Services in Nonthaburi site was held atBang Sri Thong rehabilitation center for the elderly and disabled. At the venue, the persons in charge of Nonthaburi site from MOPH and MSDHS, the chief executive and staffs from Ban Sri Thong Tambon municipality, Care managers, care workers, the director and staffs from Bang Kruay Hospital andthe elderly volunteers have joined from Thai side. From Japan side, representativesfrom JICA Thailand office and JICA experts, a JICA volunteer working on elderly have joined. In total, about 65 people have attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the Project overview, contents of the Model Services, stakeholders and the process of LTOP survey etc were confirmed among participants to start the services. In the afternoon, as well as on the following day on the 18th, the baseline survey to care givers (family) of the target elderly in Nonthaburi site was conducted by LTOP survey team and the service was started officially.
