On the 30th June 2014, the kick-off meeting to officially initiate Model Services in Chiang rai site was held at Khun Tan hospital. At the venue, Care managers, care workers, the persons in charge of Chiang rai site from MOPH, mayor and other officials of Yang Hom sub-district and the elderly volunteers have joined from Thai side. From Japan side, representatives from JICA Thailand office and JICA experts have joined.

During the meeting, the Project overview, contents of the Model Services, stakeholders and the process of LTOP survey etc were confirmed among participants to start the services. In the afternoon, as well as on the following day on the 1st July, the baseline survey to care givers (family) of the target elderly in Chiang rai site was conducted by LTOP survey team and the service was started officially.
