On the 3rd July 2014, the base-line survey to the family member of the target elderly in Khon Kaen site was conducted, and on the following day on the 4th, the kick-off meeting to officially initiate Model Services was conducted at Sa-ard Tambon Municipal Office. Therefore, all the six Project sites (Korat, Bangkok, Surat Thani, Nonthaburi, Chiang rai and Khon Kaen) have started services officially.

At the venue, Care managers, care workers, the persons in charge of Khon Kaen site from MOPH, mayor and other official of Sa-ard Tambon and the elderly volunteers have joined from Thai side. From Japan side, representatives from JICA Thailand office and JICA experts have joined. During the meeting, the Project overview, contents of the Model Services, stakeholders and the process of LTOP survey etc were confirmed among participants to start the services. Each site will start its care services based on care plans, and the Project will evaluate its effectiveness regularly.
