Japanese consultant visited all project sites and made some suggestions for LTOP project.

From 20th till 31st July 2014 for 10 days, Mr. Reisuke Iwana, Senior Analysts from Mitsubishi UFJ Research and Consulting in Japan has been in Thailand as a consultant to investigate the situation of provision of model services at project sites and to propose for the future of LTOP project.

Mr. Iwana and LTOP team have visited Chiang Rai, Khon Kaen, Korat, Surat Thani, Nonthaburi and Bangkok site and interviewed persons in charge of model services at project sites, care managers, care workers and volunteers about the provision system of model services, the situation of social resources in each area and the future plans considered by project sites. Mr. Iwana accordingly gave advices based on his knowledge and experience in Japan. The persons concerned listened to his advices with fascination.

At each project site, they have attempted various approaches based on regional specifications. So, the Project will further discuss about the contents of model services to provide effective and efficient services for the elderly while utilizing the diversity of project sites.

On 25th July, Mr. Iwana attended the Policy Discussion Seminar and gave a presentation about some suggestions to LTOP project.
