On 25th November 2016, the project had an honor to welcome 21 officials from Department of Social Welfare, Ministry of Woman, Family and Community Development (MWFCD), Malaysia for the site visit to Khuntan site in Chiangrai province.

This visit is a part of training program in Thailand organized by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) under the project titled "Project on Successful Aging: Community Based Programs and Social Support System in Malaysia" which aims at providing the government officials of Malaysia with knowledge and information by learning how the community-based elderly care is operated in Thailand.

In the morning, there was a presentation by Dr. Kongsak, a director of Khuntan hospital. Long term care operation at Khuntan District site was explained. The contents included the site's elderly population data, background and history of LTC system, LTC mission; and LTOP. After the presentation, questions, comments and suggestions were raised and shared actively and fruitfully.

In the afternoon, the visitors were introduced and guided to observe the area of Khuntan Hospitals. They also had conversation with hospital's staffs and officers to learn their functions and operation. After that, they were divided into 3 teams; each team visited an elderly house in order to observe the elderly living condition and learn care provision by both family care givers and care team which consists of care managers, care workers, nurses, PTs, doctors and municipality's officers in real situation.
