On December 09th of 2016, New Daycare Center for the frail elderly and other vulnerable people was officially opened with the attendance of His Excellency of Mr. Shiro Sadoshima, Ambassador of Embassy of Japan in Thailand, Vice Governor of Khon Kaen Province and others at the Sa-ard Sub-district Municipality Office, as the Khon Kaen Site of our LTOP Project.

Khon Kaen Site had one daycare Center already but it was difficult to provide effective daycare service due to its limited space and equipment. In order to deal with these situations, the Sa-ard Sub-district Municipality Office had secured the assistance by applying their building plan of new center to the "Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects" which is operated by Embassy of Japan in Thailand, and it was adopted.

On that day, there were local dance performance by the villagers, local farmers' products market and weaving textile demonstration in addition to the ceremony. So it was became quite a big event by the participation of many villagers.

At the new center, several rehabilitation equipment for improving physical function are placed and barrier-free toilet is also installed. Further more, they are planning short-stay services during daytime and keeping the space for that, and so it's well utilization is highly expected from now on.

Wishing the improvement of quality of life of the frail elderly, other vulnerable people and family care giver that they are able to live without care service by improving their physical functions through home-visit care and rehabilitation at the daycare center.
