On 3 November 2020, young researchers interested in the transportation field from Thailand and Japan took part in an online seminar. In total 25 researchers introduced themselves and exchanged details of their interests, from participating institutions Kasetsart University, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Chiang Mai University, Kagawa University and Chubu University. One of project's research group leaders, Prof. Masanobu Kii of Kagawa University, facilitated the seminar with Dr. Varameth Vichiensan of Kasetsart University. Dr. Hiroyuki Miyzaki of the University of Tokyo, gave a lecture on how to develop a research proposal and set the researchers an assignment to develop a proposal for research in the transportation field by the end of December.
