Research Group Meetings Held Remotely

From 24 to 26 April 2023, three research groups held online meetings to review their progress and plan the way forward. Firstly, Group 4 (G4) members exchanged progress on inputting datasets into the Digital Earth System to visualise smart transport strategies. G4 also proposed the technical specifications of the QOL-MaaS application, which allows for recommending a daily route schedule and has been developed in collaboration with Group 3 (G3). Secondly, the G3 meeting confirmed the structure and assigned writers for QOL evaluation methodologies involved in a report of the Sukhumvit Model. A team from Chulalongkorn University of G3 presented a plan for a small-scale questionnaire survey to learn AI models for estimating QOL scores from street images. G3 members agreed with the survey plan so that the AI models can be embedded into the QOL-MaaS application. Finally, G2 members reached an agreement on the implementation plan for a walkability evaluation survey using a VR system with a treadmill, allowing respondents to virtually walk along a street designed by CGs. Accordingly, a team from Thammasat University and NECTEC will conduct the walkability survey and gather questionnaires in Thai from respondents.
