NEWS LETTER

We started the project workshops and school visiting to explain our NEWS LETTER project to the resident people and students.

Furthermore, we issue the newsletter to report the progress of the project and shoot the movie.

On 4th of November, we had the presentation at the Funafuti Fale Kaupule monthly meeting. Funafuti Fale Kaupule members consist of the representative of the residents originally from Funafuti town. Once we inform them, each of them informs to his relative people.

Making DVD

We can spread the information very quickly and get many opinions from residents. By exchanging the information and opinions, our project can go together with residents of Tuvalu.

The meeting was held at the community hall called 'Maniapa'. Maniapa is a very important place for the residents. They gather here for discussions, events, dances and funerals, etc.

Through this meeting, we realized that the residents have strong expectations for this project. We got many supportive comments from them.

However, we should consider that there are many people from the outer islands in Funafuti now. Therefore, we are planning to hold the meeting to the residents from outer islands, too.
