Program Coordination Committee

Foram Sand Project experts from Japan arrived in Tuvalu on March 30th 2010.

We held the Program Coordination Committee meeting on the 31st of March to share the progress of the project with the Tuvaluan government and residents.

At the Meeting, we received many positive comments admiring the projects achievements and also had the cooperative opinions to create the beach with foram sand. We had a very fruitful discussion about the merit and demerit for artificial constructions such as seawalls. Furthermore, we discussed the salary for the counterparts.

From next day of that meeting, research started.

Despite that it was during the Easter holidays, counterparts appeared and work together with Japanese experts.
