Tape Cut

Inauguration Ceremony of the Aquarium for foram culture was held on April 12th 2010.

The tape was cut by Prime Minister, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and Project leader,which was followed by the Aquarium tour.

Those who attended were very interested in the explanation by the project leader, Dr Kayanne. They promised to cooperate to making this project a success.

We had a very hard time during the aquarium construction. The shipment of the building materials was delayed because of the cyclone and other reasons. Despite delays,we held the ceremony on schedule owing to the staff's hard work around the clock.

This is the picture of the foram in the tanks. The local counterparts are expected to manage the operation of the aquarium so that the foram will grow healthy and produce a lot of babies.

For the success of this world first trial, our project has taken new next steps.
