From 16 to 25 December, 2007 Professor Kawamoto from Ryukyu University came to the project. He introduced a new method on making silage for king grass by using fermented juice lactic bacteria (FJLB).During that time, He carried out this method at Mr. Truong’s farm (a project counterpart) in Ba vi center and some farms in Vinh Thinh commune.

The procedures for making FJLB as follow:

  • Cutting king grass’s leave into small peaces
  • Using fruit grinder to grind grass leave
  • Extract to get liquid
  • Diluted with little sugar
  • Keep in the incubator at 25-300 c about48 hours
  • Using the liquid from incubator diluted with distilled water and sugar
  • Spraying on the king grass to make silage

Check this product every week then after 21 day feed cattle, check the appetizing.

At the same time with this activity, there was one student group from Thai Nguyen agricultural and forestry university practicing on AI in Ba vi center. They were much interested with this method and participated in preparing enthusiastically. After professor Kawamoto, Dr Imura would come to check the feasibility of product and appetizing for dairy cattle.
