KAIZEN Institute of Zambia (KIZ) was established jointly by ZDA and ZABS under the MCTI in October 2013. KAIZEN means "continuous improvement" in Japanese. The Project purpose is to develop a mechanism that ensures sustainable training of consultants capable of providing assistance and guidance relating to KAIZEN activity, and enhance the ability and capacity to promote the interest of KAIZEN activity and to carry out technology transfer to KIZ and related organizations in Zambia, thereby contribute to autonomous initiation and expansion of KAIZEN activity in Zambia. The Project began with TOT for KAIZEN consultants by 5 JICA experts to KIZ. Through KIZ, KAIZEN know-hows and technologies are expected to be transferred to both private and public sectors by locally recruited and trained KIZ consultants.
