This exhibit presents some actual materials that help to explain why some people chose to emigrate from Japan and how they went about it.
To the right, you can see posters that encouraged emigration, emigration promotional materials, and migrant lodges. To the left, you can see the kinds of trunks and other items that they took with them for their journey. Towards the back is an exhibit about the creation of the Yguazú colony in Paraguay, a Japanese immigrant colony that was established once emigration resumed after the end of World War II.
