Correction Regarding Media Article of "JICA Africa Hometown"

Regarding the "JICA Africa Hometown" announced by JICA at the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), BBC News Pidgin has published a correction to its earlier article which stated that "the Japanese government is introducing a 'special visa category' for Nigerians."
In the revised article, BBC News Pidgin clarified that the Japanese government has no plans to promote immigration or to issue “special visa”. The correction also notes that, following an explanation from the Japanese side, the Nigerian government has amended its previously released information.
JICA, in cooperation with the Government of Japan, will continue to take appropriate measures to ensure accurate reporting and dissemination of information regarding this initiative.
