JICA President Tanaka Met with World Customs Organization Secretary General Mikuriya

On October 13, JICA President Tanaka Akihiko met with World Customs Organization (WCO) Secretary General Mikuriya Kunio at JICA Headquarters.
JICA President Tanaka expressed his appreciation to Secretary General Mikuriya—who will complete his term this December—for his leadership in the close collaboration between JICA and the WCO to date.
In response, Secretary General Mikuriya conveyed his gratitude for JICA's longstanding cooperation and his hope to broaden collaboration between the two organizations in the future.
The pair also exchanged views on cooperation with the African region, the Pacific Island region, and the Central Asian region that has been carried out under the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) signed in 2015.
