JICA Executive Senior Vice President Miyazaki Met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam Son

On August 9, JICA Executive Senior Vice President Miyazaki Katsura met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Bui Thanh Son at JICA Headquarters.
Vice President Miyazaki opened the meeting by reaffirming the commitment to deepening the bilateral relationship between Japan and Viet Nam through the expansion of ODA, following its elevation last year to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World.
In response, Minister Son expressed his appreciation for Japan’s longstanding support, particularly in the area of infrastructure development, such as the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Construction Project (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Section (Line 1) ).
Additionally, both parties confirmed they would work closely together to accelerate the implementation of ongoing projects and expand cooperation to new potential fields, such as digital transformation (DX) and green transformation (GX).
