Signing of Japanese ODA Loan Agreement with Viet Nam: Supporting improvements to the water environment in Ha Long, a World Heritage City

On Nov. 25, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a loan agreement with the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in Ha Noi to provide a Japanese ODA loan of up to 11.891 billion yen for the Ha Long City Drainage and Wastewater Treatment Project.

This project will increase the wastewater treatment capacity of Ha Long City by constructing wastewater treatment facilities and pipelines. The project will contribute to the improvement of sanitary conditions in the city and Ha Long Bay, and sustainable development of the province. This project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goals 6, 13 and 14.
