Signing of Grant Agreement with Sierra Leone:Contributing to quality improvement in medical service through construction of children’s hospital and installation of medical equipment

On March 22, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Freetown to provide grant aid of up to 2.383 billion yen for the Project for Strengthening Children’s Hospital in Freetown.
Under this project, medical environment will be developed through relocating the children’s hospital and supplying medical equipment with the aim of improving the quality of medical service for children. This project is expected to contribute to the improvement of health indicators in Sierra Leone, thereby supporting the achievement of Universal Health Coverage and SDGs Goal 3.
