On March 31, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a loan agreement with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta to provide a Japanese ODA loan of up to 50 billion yen for the Disaster Resilience Enhancement And Management Program Loan (II).

The objective of the program is to support the implementation of the disaster-related policies and strategies of the Republic of Indonesia through policy dialogue, thereby contributing to strengthening the capacity to deal with natural disasters, and providing budget support co-financed by the French Development Agency (AFD). This program will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goals 1, 11, and 13.
