On August 5, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions with the Government of Viet Nam in the capital city, Hanoi, for “Improving the Prevention and Control Viral Hepatitis in Viet Nam”, a technical cooperation project.

Project Title
The Project for Improving the Prevention and Control of Viral Hepatitis in Viet Nam

Country (Target Areas)
The project site is all provinces in Viet Nam.
The model provinces : Son La, Bac Ninh, Quang Tri, Binh Thuan, Kon Tum, An Giang and Binh Duong.

Project Objective
Hepatitis prevention and control is strengthened by improvement of surveillance and medical treatment system, and access to intervention of Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT).
