On August 20, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Dili, the capital city, to provide grant aid for the Project for the Improvement of Guido Valadares National Hospital.

Project Objective
The objective of the Project is to strengthen the capacity of service delivery and improve the quality of medical services of Guido Valadares National Hospital, the only tertiary level hospital in the country, by constructing the facilities and providing related medical equipment, thereby contributing to the improvement of health system in Timor-Leste.

(c) consulting services

Maximum Grant Amount
3,093 million Japanese Yen

Implementation Period Planned
44 months
The project will be completed when it is put into service (April 2027).
