On March 25th, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Republic of Uganda in the capital city Kampala, to provide grant aid for the Project for the Reconstruction of Karuma Bridge.

- Project Objective
The objective of the Project is to ensure smoother traffic flow and road safety by reconstruction of the Karuma Bridge on the main road between Kiryandongo District and Nwoya District, thereby contributing to improvement of traffic and transportation flow in the northern corridor.
