On April 7, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of Ukraine to provide grant aid of up to 8,800 million Japanese yen for the Programme for Emergency Recovery (Phase 4).

The objective of the Programme is to promote public-private partnerships that contribute to the promotion of peace (energy security, environment, etc.) and sustainable economic recovery, by/through procuring equipment, materials and services necessary for emergency recovery and economic recovery, thereby contributing to emergency recovery and economic recovery.

1. Equipment procurement
Equipment for humanitarian mine action, energy service, water supply, public health and safety, road maintenance, education service, and enhancing border security etc.
2. Consulting services
Bidding assistance, technical guidance for operation and maintenance of the facilities and equipment to be developed, installation etc.

24 months, including the bidding period (subject to change depending on the security situation in Ukraine)
