On April 10, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions with the Government of Republic of Ecuador in the capital city Quito, to provide technical cooperation for “Project for Strengthening of Capabilities of Ecosystem Conservation in the Coastal Areas”.
The project outline is explained below.

Marine and coastal protected areas (hereinafter, AMCPs) in Manabí Province and the southern coast of Esmeraldas Province

Scientific and social dimensions of AMCPs are effectively integrated for enhancing conservation of the unique and important Ecuadorian marine and coastal ecosystems.
