On July 29, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Republic of Türkiye in the capital city Ankara, to provide a grant aid for the Programme for the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction in Earthquake-affected Areas.

The objective of the Programme is to strengthen health system and resilience to disaster risk of the municipalities in the earthquake affected areas to achieve Build Back Better, by/through procuring equipment and materials necessary for emergency recovery, thereby contributing to building a resilient social foundation to sustain the economy in Türkiye.
