On August 28, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a limited partnership agreement with EcoEnterprises Impact Management, LLC (EcoEnterprises), a women-led fund manager investing in companies whose businesses benefit biodiversity conservation in Latin America and the Caribbean region, such as agroforestry, regenerative agriculture and circular economy.

JICA is co-investing in EcoEnterprises’ fourth fund with development finance institutions such as Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest), International Finance Cooperation (IFC), Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO), Development Finance Institute Canada (FinDev Canada), Swiss Investment Fund for Emerging Markets (SIFEM) and other investors from the private sector.
