On September 15, through the Trust Fund Achieving Development of Latin America and the Caribbean (TADAC*) invested by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Inter-American Development Bank Investment Company (IDB Invest) completed the disbursement of a loan signed with Banco Supervielle. The funding will strengthen access to financing for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Argentine Republic.
Under this project, IDB Invest and TADAC provide a total USD 100 million loan. The transaction also includes the mobilization of USD 79 million from private investors.
(*Note) JICA is investing up to USD 1.5 billion in the Trust Fund Achieving Development of Latin America and the Caribbean (TADAC). The Fund is established within the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the largest development finance institution in Latin America and the Caribbean region, and managed by IDB Invest, the private sector investment arm of the IDB Group. TADAC will co-finance alongside IDB Invest to support private sector initiatives that contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. JICA’s investment aims to reduce the SDGs financing gap in the region and contribute to its sustainable socioeconomic development.
