The Project aims to ensure sustainable use of irrigation facilities and contributes to the enhancement of agricultural productivity. It also serves to materialize Japan’s commitment to strengthening agricultural systems to address poverty and food insecurity in Africa, thereby supporting Africa-led initiatives for peace, stability, and prosperity. Through this cooperation, Japanese products and technologies—such as construction vehicles, surveying equipment, and machine tools—are expected to become more widely recognized throughout Africa.
