On December 4, through the Trust Fund Achieving Development in Latin America and the Caribbean (TADAC*) invested by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Inter-American Development Bank’s investment arm (IDB Invest) signed a loan agreement with Camposol S.A. (Camposol), specializing in the production, processing, and export of high-quality fresh fruits in the Republic of Peru and other countries in Latin America. Camposol produces blueberries and avocados and exports its products to the world including Japan.
IDB Invest is providing Camposol with a total loan of USD 140 million, of which USD 50 million comes from TADAC. The transaction also includes mobilization of additional resources from International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Rabobank, along with local financing from Peruvian commercial banks, bringing the total financing package to approximately USD 400 million.

JICA invests up to USD1.5billion in the Trust Fund Achieving Development of Latin America and the Caribbean (TADAC). The Fund is established within IDB, the largest development finance institution in Latin America and the Caribbean region, and managed by IDB Invest, the private sector investment arm of the IDB Group. TADAC will co-finance with IDB Invest to support private sector initiatives that contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. This investment aims to reduce the SDGs financing gap in the region, thereby contributing to its sustainable socioeconomic development.
