On September 18, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea in the capital city Port Moresby, to provide grant aid for the Project for Landslide Risk Reduction on the Kokopo-Rabaul Coastal Trunk Road. The signatures were exchanged between Secretary Koney Samuel, Department of National Planning and Monitoring of Papu New Guinea and Chief Representative Shirouzu Kenichi of JICA Papua New Guinea Office.
