Primary objectives and outcomes

As climate risks become more visible and the importance of financing resilience grows increasingly stark, financial institutions should learn from each other’s practices.
This event intends to highlight recent findings on climate risk management relevant to financial institutions and have them share their experience on collaborating for better climate risk management.
This will help them better contribute to managing global climate risks and will help Public Development Banks target their assistance to increase resilience in local economies.

Content of the discussions

UNEP-FI indtroduced "Practical Guidance on Implemaptation and Resilience for Banks", launched in July 2025.
Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank and JICA shared their experience on techncail assistance on climate risk management respectively. JICA explained how to identify and assess the climate risk by using its guidance "JICA Climate Finance Impact Tool".
Finally, other banks shared their experience on promoting adaptation measures.
