Tokyo, April 1, 2026, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) renewed its Memorandum of Cooperation with the French Development Agency (AFD) Group and held a signing ceremony at the French Embassy in Tokyo.
Since 2019, AFD and JICA has been cooperating in the Indo-Pacific and Africa, to strengthen actions in the fight against climate change, reduce the risk of natural disasters, energy transition, sustainable transport, support for the private sector, health, and intervention in fragile areas, based on the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the two institutions.
