Concept

To accelerate Africa’s tangible development, AUDA-NEPAD was reorganized as the development agency of the African Union.

This year, Dr. Mayaki, CEO of AUDA-NEPAD, published a new book titled “Africa’s Critical Choices: A call for a Pan-Africa roadmap” to provide lessons for the next generation to build a strong pan-African unity in the midst of globalization.

In this seminar, based on his new book, Dr. Mayaki will touch on the Africa’s recent trends in making its market more attractive, such as promotion of regional integration and AfCFTA (African Continental Free Trade Area) and explain expected roles for both public and private sectors against the biggest concerns represented by demographic pressures and employment issues. By listening to Dr. Mayaki’s expectation for Japan and comments by various actors engaging in Africa’s development, this seminar will make an opportunity to think about the future direction of Africa’s development.
