Prologue to JICA-Open University of Japan Joint Program "Seven Chapters on Japanese Modernization"

As part of the JICA Development Studies Program (JICA-DSP), JICA produced a lecture program titled "Seven Chapters on Japanese Modernization" in 2019 in collaboration with the Open University of Japan. This video starts with the interview with the JICA President, Shinichi Kitaoka, on the objectives and outline of the whole series, which is followed by the introduction on the outline of each chapter. It is a good prologue to the seven chapters to learn about Japan and its 150 years of experience in modernization, including its experience as an ODA provider. In addition to the full chapters already on the air on BS231, the OUJ is going to launch the on-line self-learning program of the same subject in August 2020.
