We set posters and banners to alert Banjir Bandang disaster

Photothe banner design

About the banners and posters which we noted in the Project News on February 1st, we have finished setting them at 6 points in Jember District.

The Banners are the size of 3m length times 2m width, and have big pictures of debris flow or landslides. Also, messages such as "Disaster comes when you forget about it" or "Prepared to evacuate?", etc. are written on them.

Mainly staffs from PMI (the Red Cross) Jember office conducted setting work at night while less traffic. The banners were set on the places where sediment disaster have occurred in the past including Silo sub-district and Panti sub-district, on a main street through the city, and at the side of government buildings in the main city, etc.

While the peak of rainy season is coming soon, we hope as many people as possible take a look at the posters and banners and prepare for disaster of Banjir Bandang.
