Project for Strengthening Teachers' Ability and Reasonable Treatments for Children with Disabilities (START) Phase 2 has been kicked off.

Starting from September 2020, we have commenced Phase 2 of the Project for Strengthening Teachers' Ability and Reasonable Treatments for Children with Disabilities (START). During the previous phase conducted from 2015 to 2019, we implemented activities with the goal of improving the early identification of disabilities and developmental delay in children, as well as improving educational services at pilot areas/schools. START Phase 2 aims to expand the activities of the previous phase throughout all of Mongolia. In addition, an educational model will be developed and disseminated in which children with disabilities can learn together with other children in kindergartens throughout the country.

Although our Japanese experts could not travel to Mongolia due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project has commenced in close cooperation with our Mongolian stakeholders. The project activities and progress will be shared on this website.

PhotoProject Purpose: Developmental support and education services for CWD aged 2 to 16 are disseminated throughout Mongolia.
