The Project for Modernization of Public Transport in Belgrade (hereinafter referred to as "the Project") held the 3rd JCC in Belgrade on June 30, 2022. In the JCC, the progress of the activities was reported, and the future activity plan was mutually confirmed by the counterparts.

At the JCC, representatives from the Secretariat for Public Transport, the City of Belgrade (hereinafter referred to as "SfPT"), related departments of the City of Belgrade, the University of Belgrade, public transport operators, tariff system contractors, JICA Balkan office and JICA project team attended the meeting. During the meeting, the leaders of three working groups consisting of members from several related organizations, including SfPT, reported on the progress of their respective activities. Since the 2nd JCC, we have conducted the various traffic surveys including Activity Diary Survey (ADS), examined the proposal to revise bus timetable, conducted the traffic education trial activities in elementary school, and conducted third-country training such as visits to the Netherlands and Italy.

In the meeting, the following items were discussed, and JCC members confirmed that they would continue to discuss these items in view of taking concrete actions.

• Sustainable update of the traffic demand forecast model in the city of Belgrade
• Discussions on contractual arrangements with public transport operators for efficient fare collection
• Feasibility of introduction of environmentally friendly public transport services
• Organization of public consultation meetings on improving free-ride problems
• Feasibility of introduction of advanced initiatives in other European cities to Belgrade
• Providing education for elementary school students on the use of public transportation
